I’m so disgusted I couldn’t even come up with a better title. Another promising fantasy football season dashed by a fluke occurrence. Trailing by 34 going into the Monday night Texans/Patriots game I had Matt Schaub, Andre Johnson, and Arian Foster and my opponent was finished. We have a bit of a history as well (he’s a Giants fan). I figured I had more than a decent shot of winning.
As you saw, the Texans completely crapped the bed. Adding insult to injury, Matt Schuab had his second worst fantasy outing of the season. Even with that, I climbed to within 1.98 points heading into the fourth quarter.
On the previous night, my wife pulled out a victory on the very last catch to Calvin Johnson at the end of the game. Could it happen to me as well? The answer was ABSOLUTELY HELL NO! The Texans pulled all of their starters thus ending my night. As an added bonus, my team played well this week and would’ve made it to the championship.
My other team got screwed by the starters being benched as well and that lost was at the hands of last year’s culprit. Again, even an average night from Schaub would’ve locked up a win as well as a title appearance. One of my most effective draft years ever and finished in the top three in the league in total points.
So goes another fantasy season. There’s really not much more to say…
